Chinese Dragon Nails—Nailart by Aria Year of the Dragon Collection
I'm sharing some Year of the Dragon nails today from the limited edition collection of Nailart by Aria. Nailart by Aria is the first nail artist owned semi-cured gel nail wraps brand and is based in Taiwan. The Year of the Dragon collection uses classic Chinese elements and beautiful colors.
Chinese Dragon Nails—Nailart by Aria: Puff-ect Year
You know I love this punny name. Using the "puff" sound from a dragon's exhale, this design is named Puff-ect Year, hoping that everyone can have a perfect 2024.
The base color is a creamy white with a slight pink tint, which I cannot get tired of. The coins and the Chinese dragon they gather around are done in a majestic deep red.
Traditional images of Chinese dragons are very complicated and are hard to be fully presented in nail art, they also tend to look a bit more aggressive. That's perfect for decor patterns or qipao but they don't particularly look great on the nails. The Chinese dragon on Puff-ect Year has a cute element to it while preserving it's traditional look of elegance and power.
Chinese Dragon Nails—Nailart by Aria: Glow with The Flow
This one is called Glow with the Flow because of the lanterns in the design, but also the hope that we can simply go through life glowing like stars in the year to come.
The base color is a beige with a peach tint, combining hints of Pantone's 2024 color of the year—Peach Fuzz. Glow with The Flow uses unsaturated shades to create the again popular vintage style with elements of traditional Shanghai fashion.
I received so many compliments wearing this set! Everyone said that they've never seen such detailed and delicate nail wraps and that it's such a unique and beautiful design.
