Honestly, I've been so happy with my complexion lately! My skin has literally been bouncy and glowing when I wake up in the morning. I've noticed that I look a lot less tired even when I stay up late. Aside from cleansing properly, moisturizing, and paying attention to skincare, I've also added an oral supplement to my beauty routine recently–Glutathione from Dear Me.
Glutathione has been so popular lately, I had to look into it. There are so many different sellers, so I had to do some research on the various brands as well. One of the reasons I chose Dear Me is because all of their products are particularly designed for Asian women and they have supplements targeted towards all types of feminine needs. They are also an old biotech company that has been around for 30 years.
In regards to safety, Dear Me also has 4 major gate-keeping guarantees: it has SGS authentication for not containing any pharmaceutical drugs, one-on-one consultations with professional pharmacists, and a strict quality control team. At the same time, Dear Me submits all of their products for testing to ensure that they meet safety regulations.
Dear Me's glutathione was released in 2021 and is already available in over 30 pharmacies around Taiwan, which I also consider as an assurance. It also meets the HACCP food safety standards, ISO 22000:2005, and ISO 9001:2005.
Dear Me Glutathione–Selected Herbal Extracts
The glutathione from Dear Me mainly uses ingredients that are extracted from various plans, without the addition of chemical excipients. There was nothing that I could not recognize in the ingredient list, which really puts my mind at ease. And it's also lacto-vegetarian. Just take one each in the morning and at night on an empty stomach. After taking it for a week, I felt so much more energetic when I get up in the morning and my complexion was also a lot better! I often sit in front of my laptop pinching my chin. My mom even asked me if I had a toothache. No... I'm just really happy about how squishy and nice my cheeks feel.
Dear Me Glutathione–High Quality Glutathione
The glutathione Dear Me uses in their capsules is currently the only one in the world that is fermented from non-GMO torula yeast. It's also the only raw ingredient approved by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
I was so shocked when I found out about this. I am so careful when choosing products that contains beans and refuse to eat grain-fed beef and chicken mainly because I want to avoid consuming anything GMO. I never thought that I had to pay special attention to this even when choosing supplements.
Dear Me's capsules have a 98% high-concentration of glutathione that is not only patented, but also has plenty of studies proving that it is effective in retaining youth and beauty.
Dear Me Glutathione–Pomegranate Extract
Pomegranates are one of my favorite fruits! But it's so hard to get fresh ones here in Taiwan. Even when I find them in high-end super markets, they are like NTD$100 each. Which, wow. I'm not loaded, okay? Just give me some fruit.
Other than it's mesmerizing gem-like appearance, pomegranates' health and beauty benefits are well-documented in history. Even as I was reading stories of ancient Egypt and Egyptian mythology, I saw records of pomegranates being used and consumed by beautiful women like Cleopatra and Nefertiti. Pomegranates were first documented to be the gem of youth and was a symbol of longevity and the Field of Reeds (Egyptian Heaven) in Egyptian mythology. It's a fruit that always has to be present in the Pharaoh's palace.
Dear Me's glutathione capsules use pomegranate extract that is taken directly from the pulp of pomegranates, effectively preserving the active ingredient–punicalagin, and contains multiple skincare ingredients such as anthocyanin, vitamin C, and ellagic acid.
Dear Me Glutathione–Passion Fruit Seed Extract
Dear Me's Glutathione capsules contains passion fruit seed extract. By the way, prior to this, I honestly had no idea what that was for.
I've previously talked about resveratrol, which is something commonly found in grapes and cranberries. It has strong anti-oxidation properties both when taken orally and used topically. Passion fruit seed extracts contains piceatannol, which is similar to reveratrol but even easier for our bodies to absorb and utilize. The piceatannol from passion fruit extract is 7,300 times of the resveratrol found in grape extract! It also contains multiple necessary micro-nutrients.
So strop eating buckets of grapes and downing wine in hopes of looking younger. You'd overdose on fructose before you get there. Just take 2 Dear Me glutathione capsules per day, et voilá.
Dear Me Glutathione–Acerola Cherry Extract
If you pay any attention to my Instagram stories, you would have seen the myriads of dermatologists' videos I've shared about how important vitamin C is. Not only do we need it to make collagen, it actually stimulates our bodies to produce collagen.
Dear Me's glutathione capsules contain the acerola cherry extract, also know as West Indian cherries, I think that's the name that it has been famous for in recent years. Acerola cherries contain 500 times the vitamin C found in tangerines or lemons.
Dear Me Glutathione–Q10+Edible Hyaluronic Acid
Q10 is probably a health supplement and skin care product that you've already heard a lot about. It's full name is coenzyme Q10 and as it's name suggests, it's a very important coenzyme in our bodies. You can find more Q10 in area of your body that consumes more energy because Q10 is needed to generate that energy. Your body can actually make Q10 on its own, but as we age, we also start making less and less of it. That's why we need to supplement it orally.
Dear Me's glutathione capsules also contains fermented Streptococcus z. ooepidemicus, which, NOBODY KNOWS WHAT THAT IS. I know. In simple terms, it contains 95% hyaluronic acid, and you already know what that does. Moisture retention. Not only do should you use hyaluronic acid topically, you should be consuming it, too.
Dear Me Glutathione–Milk + Eggshell Membrane Extract
There are a lot of home remedy skincare hacks that involves using milk, egg whites, egg shells, or egg membrane and it's not without reason.
Dear Me's glutathione capsules has milk extract that contains ceramide, which is a fatty acid that helps moisturize and strengthen the protective barrier on your skin.
The egg membrane extract contains no chemical additives and is full of collagen, elastin, and keratin. Which are all essential to skincare and even used in hair products.
