Coming out of Zhongshan Station, the entrance to Treasure Beauty Clinic is across from Shin Kong Mitsukoshi, and you can take the elevator next to MANGO to the 5th floor.

The environment of Treasure Beauty Clinic is bright and clean, with a beautifully decorated entrance that's perfect for taking photos. The waiting area is furnished with comfortable velvet sofas. The overall ambiance provides a sense of comfort and relaxation.

The first step is to fill in some basic information and the specific consultation you're seeking while sitting in the sofa area. Next, there are pre-treatment instructions. Remember to remove all metal accessories before doing CMSlim. If you have any metal implants inside your body, like an IUD, you can't proceed with the treatment.

After filling out the forms, there's a consultation with the doctor. I had pre-booked an appointment for CMSlim, so the consultation process was straightforward and quick. The doctor briefly explained how CMSlim works and confirmed the treatment area.

CMSlim can be used on various body parts including the waist and abdomen, buttocks, front and back of the thighs, and arms.

For buttocks, it targets the under-butt area. Waist and abdomen is the most commonly chosen treatment area. It targets the troublesome belly and abs can easily be revealed through CMSlim training. However, I already have low body fat in my upper body and torso, the challenge lies in my lower body and thighs, always being the last place for me to lose fat. So, this time, I came to do CMSlim om my thighs for improvement, specifically the back of my thighs. Before the treatment, they measured my thigh circumference.

In terms of fat reduction through of medical treatments, there are mainly three types of methods: liposuction, cryolipolysis, and vibration-based approaches. The entire CMSlim session lasts for 30 minutes, and it's actually quite comfortable. It feels somewhat like being electrocuted, and towards the end, it can become a bit tiring and I even broke a sweat.

The first 5 minutes are a warm-up phase, I started at level 4 intensity. After that, comes HIIT. The intensity is adjusted based on your exercise habits and how you feel in the moment. I felt intense muscle contractions in my hamstrings. I tried raising my feet by bending my knees, but there was no more room for further contractions. The rest intervals felt appropriate as well, it always stopped just when I felt like I was about to cramp up. There were also longer intervals of lower intensity electromagnetic waves in between.

Around 20 minutes or so, fatigue sets in, similar to the feeling one gets during training when approaching failure. But as they say, "the last set is the best set." At this point, performing 1-2 more sets is the most effective for muscle growth. Which is why I found the timing of CMSlim to be well-calibrated. After I started to feel tired, there were about two more rounds of HIIT before it wrapped up.

The last phase involves light tapping and massage. Intense exercise can often lead to soreness, especially in the legs, to the extent that walking becomes challenging. CMSlim uses tapping to reduce lactic acid buildup. Although the process involves intense muscle contraction and fatigue, there wasn't severe soreness afterward. I only experienced a slight soreness in my hamstrings for a day, and it didn't even affect cycling.

Doctors generally recommend using CMSlim 2-3 times a week and can be sustained. After the first session, there weren't immediate dramatic visual or numerical results, I did feel a slight increase in firmness of my hamstrings. However, more significant changes might require several more sessions. Comparing to other medical fat-reduction methods, I have acquaintances who underwent liposuction, but the loose skin and painful post-operative recovery are deterrents. Especially for those who aren't significantly overweight but seek spot improvement, surgical methods aren't worth it.
