Practical Christmas presents are always the most thoughtful ones. We all spend a lot of time on our phones and laptops nowadays. These are the top 5 practical and affordable gifts for techies that cannot live without their gadgets.
Chapters: Apple fan | Binge Watcher | Eye Protection
By the way, a small reminder that: Unless you know the exact make and model of something that a techie wants, don't get them something that they have been looking for lately. Especially not stuff like headphones, hard drives, and routers.
This is from personal experience of receiving presents that are thoughtful but also useless to be. Which is also why I don't get Ares anything tech-related as a present unless he specifically asks for something. Anyone who knows anything about their electronics and tech accessories would research and find the exact ONE product that fits their needs the most, in terms of specs, performance, and aesthetics. Getting a different model is awkward because the gift giver is so sweet but it's really not what we need or want. And selling it feels weird. Just don't do it. Hopefully this disclaimer will benefit many other geeks out there. Live long and prosper my friends.

CW Accessories AirPods Cleaning Pen | NTD$69
Shop here: https://shope.ee/20M6M2dz1w
Of course, this doesn't just clean AirPods, they would work with any wireless earbuds with similar case designs, which is every product that is available right now. I know we have all seen variations of this on Instagram and those satisfying AirPods cleaning videos. But when you click on their links, they are freaking expensive. The one that went viral costs USD$25 with a discount! These are NTD$69, that's about USD$2.3 and they work amazing.
I actually bought 4 of these not just for myself but 1 for everyone around me. This is the perfect present for anyone who has wireless earbuds. Who doesn't want them squeaky clean?

One of the scariest thing in the world is spilling water on your keyboard. I have done so multiple times, on my Magic Keyboard and on my old Macbook Pro. Now that I have the last gen 1 Magic Keyboard I can find and an M1 air that is specs-wise future-proof, I am determined to have them accompany me for at least a decade. Which is why my clumsy ass needed keyboard covers.
Honestly, I thought I would hate them, they would be ugly and hinder my typing. But that could not be further from the truth. As soon as I received my cover for my Magic Keyboard, I went back and bought one for my M1.
Aesthetic-wise, they are truly invisible. It looks like there is nothing on the white Magic Keyboard. Since MacBooks have black keyboards, it becomes slightly more obvious but still barely detectable.
I did a typing speed test in both English, Chinese Zhu-Yin, and Chinese Pin-Yin with and without the keyboard covers on both my Magic Keyboard and M1. The results show that they are so thin that they do not affect typing speed at all.
The link above is a keyboard cover for an M1 air. They also carry keyboard covers for various laptop brands and models, including all Apple laptops, ASUS, Acer, MSI, Lenovo, LG and others. If you are looking for an older model, you can message the seller for it.
This is the perfect Christmas present for people who cannot live a day without their laptop and need to make sure that it stays in great condition.

Aluminum Alloy Foldable Tablet Holder | NTD$319
Shop here: https://shope.ee/7zdJUsUeQc
I don't know about you, but my parents love watching YouTube and Netflix on their tablets. Yes, they have computers and laptops, but tablets are the one for them. Same for Ares' parents; I couldn't take a picture of the ones he bought cause they were sent to his parents. I'm using this picture with the consent of the seller.
To be honest, this tablet holder is not exclusive to this seller. They have it at GuangHua Market, too. But out of all the sellers, they have the cheapest price while delivering the same nice quality. It looks nice and futuristic but also light and durable. We tried resting a 15 inch MacBook pro on it and it held. Of course, I do not recommend that you use it as a laptop holder, I'm simple illustrating it's strength.
This is the perfect Christmas present for those who cannot live without their tablets.

Daiken Biomedial Lutein | NTD$1,310
Shop here: https://shope.ee/VXIbsFibP
It's hard to explain why this is the best lutein on the market in a few words. All I can say is, this is the only one out of all the brands that I've tried which get rids of dryness in the morning. There is too much medical research and science behind it that I cannot explain in short, so please read the full review below.
This is the perfect Christmas present for those who strain their eyes and should take better care of them.

Prodigy 4 in 1 Graphene Eye-Nose Mask | NTD$590
Shop here: https://shope.ee/qA8xahEPo
Most steam eye masks on the market require electricity and that's really not great for me since I don't have an outlet near my headboard. Other options are disposable steam eye masks; the individual plastic packaging and eye masks create a lot of garbage. Prodigy's 4 in 1 graphene eye and nose mask does not require you to heat it up beforehand and it does not require electricity. It can also be used as a normal eye mask for sleep.
Prodigy's Graphene Steam Eye Mask uses very thin and light fabric and does not create unwanted tightness. At the same time, it blocks light very effectively, especially since it warps around your nose as well; I could open my eyes and it would still be total darkness! Unlike most eye masks which are thick and need to be very tight in order to block light and not fall off. The insides of the eye mask is made with graphene fabric, which is particularly great for retaining heat and making sure that heat is distributed evenly.
These eye masks come in 7 colors and designs. This is the perfect Christmas present for people who are tired from spending long periods of time staring at screens.
